As promised last time, here it is, the post where we will explain a bit more in depth what our project Kwee is all about!
The aim of the project is to create a web platform for tech professionals, students and businesses of the industry to connect in a really simple, straightforward and specialised way.
The service will have two types of users; on the one hand, the professionals and students that are looking for a project or work position, and on the other, the entities or even individuals that are offering them.
The platform will show a list of jobs that the users will be able to search and filter with options like distance, index of the company — we will come back to this concept since it’s quite important, salary approximation, company size…
In order to apply for them, they will need to, as you might have expected, sign up in the platform first. By doing so, they will be able to write their entire resume and work life on their profiles so that they can be better judged by the companies and land on better jobs. Besides, there will be an option to see the past opinions that past employers have given them so that it’s even easier to see how good of a worker they will make.
Regarding the businesses, they will be able to publish their job offerings with the requirements, requisites and skills that they need as well as other characteristics and details that they would like to have in the candidates.
Afterwards, when the selection process begins, Kwee will provide key tools and facilities to ease the burden of going over hundreds of applications and selecting the ideal candidates.
To start with, the applicants will be ordered upon their index in the website, and if we make time, by the match between their abilities with the ones that have been specified in the job offer with a custom algorithm that we will develop.
In addition, when going into the profiles of these candidates, the companies will be able to see quick information gathered from their social networks, namely from Twitter, so they can see if they are trustworthy or simply check their behaviour or interest without making them search manually.
Finally, Kwee will also have a business and professionals directories so that the professionals can directly contact businesses to ask any questions, and the companies can directly find and ask the potential candidates if they are interested in an offer for example.
Regarding the index that we have been talking about this entire post, it will be a score that the platform gives each potential worker and company based upon the information that they have provided, the opinion and ratings that past users have given them and their behaviour in general on the site. The higher the index is, the more trustworthy the profile or company is.
With tools and facilities like this, we believe that Kwee can truly make an impact in this heavily segmented and immerse market.
