Sprint 8 Summary: First Half Done, What’s Next?

Christmas is over and we’re back to work! There is no time to rest and after showing our first public prototype we worked hard on our 8th Sprint and its corresponding Milestone 2.

This time we don’t have much to share since we focused on retouching and fixing some bugs that we had in the work so far while getting ready for the second half of the project.

Project Management

The second semester is starting and it was time to step back and see the project as a whole. It has been time to adjust the project requirements and budget.

We haven’t changed much of them and just did little touch-ups, mainly regarding the business model change and the effects that it has in the requirements.

Back-End

We’ve been focused in optimising the API and it now has a pagination option so that we can handle much better when we have a lot of data in our platform

Besides, we finally have a search service parameterised that can also filter different results! It still has some work ahead and we have to integrate it with the front-end but it looks really promising!

Front-End

We don’t have any big changes to show since we have been focusing in optimising a couple of visual bugs and updating all of the documentation that we are required for the Advanced Multimedia Services subject.

Nevertheless, our chatbot Iwi is taking form and even if it isn’t its final form, it’s slowly shaping up inside Kwee.

Besides, we’ve also started integrating open data into our service, for now as a autocompletion service that will help users fill in faster the sign-up form, and for us to validate addresses.

Multimedia Broadcasting Systems

Regarding this subject, we had the final presentation of it where we explained how our project was envisioned, and how we wanted to gain traffic. We talked about our model canvas, SEO and Social Media strategies among other things so that both professors and fellow students could know what we are doing to achieve a broader audience.

Moreover, we have continued updating this blog with new content, as the retrospective on how our Milestone 1 presentation went, as well as continuing introducing new team members, with Marcos.

Finally,  a friendly reminder to follow the development of this project along with us through our social media pages in TwitterTelegram and Instagram, as well as this blog. We will be updating them on a weekly basis so that you can be up-to-date on our latest progress!
